Swisse Ultiboost Magnesium + Hormone Support 60 Tablets is halal suitable, per the brand's published statement (17 Jul 2026).

Brand statement

We are pleased to inform our customers that many of our products may be halal suitable … some products containing herbs use ethanol extraction as the processing aid. Ethanol may be present in these products, but in minute traces only.
Swisse's own halal guide lists this product among those suitable for halal diets, with no animal-derived ingredients. The guide also notes that some products containing herbs use ethanol extraction, so a minute trace of ethanol may remain — but that trace is not khamr, the alcohol the Quran prohibits, such as wine, beer, or spirits made to intoxicate. It is far too small to intoxicate no matter how much is consumed, and the world's major Islamic legal councils, including the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, have ruled that non-khamr alcohol of this kind and quantity does not make food haram. See the trace-ethanol explanation on our methodology page for the full ruling and fatwa sources.Captured 17 Jul 2026swisseau.zendesk.com ↗swisse.com.au ↗
